Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1981, Violent Femmes are a folk-punk/alternative rock band known for their raw acoustic sound, punk energy, and evocative songwriting. Their debut album (1983) brought iconic tracks like “Blister in the Sun”, “Add It Up”, “Kiss Off”, and “Gone Daddy Gone”. Their 10th studio album, “Hotel Last Resort” (2019), included a collaboration with Tom Verlaine and a new version of “I’m Nothing” featuring Stefan Janoski. Always regarded as one of the most influential underground acts in American music history.
